WEIMAR REPUBLIC

Weimar Republic" is the name given to the German democratic government between the end of the Imperial period (1918) and the beginning of Nazi Germany (1933).

The Weimar Republic was Germany's government from 1919 to 1933.

It was named after the town of Weimar, where the national assembly that formed the new government met.

The Weimar Republic was Germany's first constitutional federal republic. It was also known as the German Reich.

Political turmoil and violence, economic hardship, and also new social freedoms and vibrant artistic movements characterized the complex Weimar period. Many of the challenges of this era set the stage for Adolf Hitler's rise to power.

The republic eventually collapsed with the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party in 1933, marking the end of democratic rule in Germany and the beginning of the Third Reich.

REICH

The term Reich is derived from the Germanic word which generally means "realm". In German, it is typically used to designate a kingdom or an empire.
The word Reich is pronounced "rice" in English.

BAPTISM

Baptism is a ritual of admission to Christianity. The forms and rituals of the various Christian churches vary, but baptism almost invariably involves the use of water . The candidate may be wholly or partly immersed in water, the water may be poured over the head, or a few drops may be sprinkled or placed on the head.

Baptism declares that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a public confession of your faith in, and commitment to, Jesus Christ.

Baptism is a symbol of Christ’s burial and resurrection. Our entrance into the water during baptism identifies us with Christ’s death on the cross, His burial in the tomb and His resurrection from the dead.

Going under the water was a burial of candidate's old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising him/her from the dead as he did Christ.
